What started as a little coffee catering company sharing a space with an event planner and a photographer in the Plaza District back when the Plaza District was just a few shops and more than a few hookers and crackheads, has evolved into a full-blown, modern café in the heart of downtown Edmond.  They still do the catering bit, but Jason and Jenni Duncan have also built a hip, wide-open (and bicycle friendly) café with coffee drinks, teas, ciders, sodas, etc prepared by some of the best baristas around, not to mention a fair selection of wines, beers, and cocktails kept on hand.

Also, while I wouldn’t choose them for a dinner destination, they have a decent selections of confections and light snacks on hand plus a couple sandwich box lunch specials including a chicken salad with cranberries, pecans, and poppy seeds that I highly recommend.  The real treat though, in my opinion, is at breakfast time.

What better way is there to start a morning than sitting down in front of a pile of waffles or biscuits and gravy with a large mocha in your fist?  Evoke doesn’t open until 7 AM, but if you’re lucky enough to be close by or you go to work later than most of us, I recommend you stop by and have breakfast with Jason and/or Jenni sometime.

Café Evoke is open 7 days a week, 7 AM to 7 PM.  For what they serve and when, check out their menu.  Stop by, attend an event or just stop in for a cappuccino sometime, would you?
